Transport to the Island

Below, you will find information on modes of transport for getting to Guernsey from the UK and beyond.

By Air

Guernsey's airport is served by Aurigny and Blue Islands, with flights from Southampton, London City, Manchester, and London Gatwick. For international travellers, consider flying to Gatwick or Southampton for the widest range of flight options.

Consider traveling by ferry with Condor Ferries. In addition to St Malo in France they offer routes from several UK ports, including Poole, and allow both foot and car passengers.

Transport on the Island

Below, you will find information about transport options on the island. We hope these options will help you plan your trip with ease.

Taxi

Guernsey doesn't have Uber. We recommend using the Guernsey Taxi app or booking directly with a local taxi service. Pre-booking is advised, especially for airport transfers.

Car Hire

Hiring a car offers the best way to explore Guernsey at your own pace. Several car rental companies, including Avis, Hertz, and Europcar, are available at or near the airport.

Buses

Guernsey has a public bus service, with schedules available on their app (link provided). Note that late-night bus services are limited.

Information about coach transport for the wedding day will be shared closer to the date.

Beaches & Bays

Guernsey's west coast boasts stunning beaches, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Don't miss the secluded Petit Bot Bay, picturesque Fermain Bay, or iconic Moulin Huet. For a quintessential Guernsey evening, savour fish and chips and a pint from the Rockmount at Cobo Bay at sunset.

La Vallette Bathing Pools

These sea water filled pools have been free for islanders to use for over 150 years. The site of La Vallette offers 4 man-made pools that are filled with the tidal range of sea water. On site there is also a sauna trailer, shower facilities and a cafe.

Island Hopping

Embark on a short boat trip to discover the unique charm of Guernsey's neighboring islands. Idyllic Herm, a car-free paradise, offers pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, Or, explore the enchanting island of Sark, where you can hire a bike and enjoy a crab lunch at one of its many fine restaurants.

Food & Drink

Guernsey's culinary scene offers a blend of British and French influences. Fresh seafood, especially crab and lobster, is a local specialty. From fine dining to casual cafes, there's something for everyone especially in St Peter Port the main town.

Surfing

Vazon Bay is home to Guernsey’s largest and most popular beach for water sports. On a windy day, you’ll find dozens of kitesurfers doing tricks in the water. If you want to have a go at normal surfing, then you can book yourself in for a surf lesson with Guernsey Surf School, which hires out boards and teaches novices.

Cliff Walks

Guernsey's rugged coastline offers breathtaking cliff walks, perfect for exploring. Don't miss the dramatic Pleinmont Point or the picturesque Icart Point, both offering stunning sea views and unique coastal experiences.
